1 cup rinsed Douglas-fir tips, removed from stems
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to a light simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
Add Douglas-fir tips and cover, allowing to steep for at least 3 hours. I prefer to just let mine sit overnight.
Strain syrup in a jar and keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
