Tarot is a powerful tool for reflection and self-care
... Something many of us are finding we could use a lot more of these days. Join me to learn how to use the cards to better understand yourself so you can break out of old narratives and write new ones.
While some tarot readers use the tool for prediction, I offer compassionate, reflective readings that focus on opportunities for growth, healing, and action. This half-day workshop will empower you to do the same in your own practice.
As a collection of symbols and archetypes, tarot can help us process the full range of our emotions and experiences-- from fear to excitement-- by allowing us to work with them head on. We'll cover tarot basics and traditional meanings while working on trusting our own inner-wisdom when reading the cards. This intuitive practice allows readers of all levels to gain valuable insight that can translate into revelation, healing and action.
This class is a good fit for anyone who wants to add new strategies and tools to their self-care repertoire. No tarot experience necessary.
This workshop might be a good fit if you:
- Have an interest in reading tarot but aren't sure where to start,
- Are already dabbling in tarot but want more guidance,
- Already have a deck you haven't picked up in awhile and want a refresh, or
- Are looking for ways to engage your intuition and inner wisdom.
This 4-hour class will include focused information and lots of hands-on activities to help you build the foundation for your personal tarot practice. We'll cover:
- A brief history of tarot
- Tarot structure: The Fool’s journey and the human experience
- Symbolism, archetypes and art of the tarot
- Intuitive reading
- Asking questions
- Useful spreads
Course cost: $57. This 4-hour workshop includes instruction, guided activities, detailed handouts, resource list and refreshments. Bring your own deck, a notebook and pen/pencil.
Registration closes Monday, March 5. This workshop will proceed if minimum enrollment is reached by that date.
A note about what deck to bring: We'll have a few loaner decks on hand but not enough for everyone, so please bring a deck if you have one. Make sure your deck is based on the Rider-Waite-Smith system: 78 cards including the Major Arcana (cards like The Fool and The Magician) and 4 Minor Arcana suits (such as Wands, Swords, Cups and Pentacles).
